System Requirements, Precautions & Limitations

System requirements:
1. iPad or iPhone with iOS 13 or higher.
2. The input 3D foot images need to come from the AOMS TOT App. To be more specific, this is the app used with the Structure Sensor. The version of the app needs to be 2.0 or higher.
3. Scans are made either in supine or prone position.
4. WiFi is only used to transfer 3D files in and out the device. It is not required when you work on the design.
5. You need to have some knowledge regarding how to use iPad or iPhone. Specifically, the knowledge in operating Apple's Files App is very helpful. If you want to get familiar with it, just google keywords Apple's Files App.

Precautions and Limitations:
1. Binary STL files are generated from the app. If you are not sure, you may ask us for a sample STL file to make sure your 3D printers take them. Business contact info is needed.
2. Only a single orthotic model is included in the app. In future, more models can be added at paid basis.
3. Because of this new orthotic designing approach, the scanning style may need to change in order to optimize the scans for the purpose of using this app.
4. Only semi-custom foot orthotics can be made through the app now, while we are working towards fully custom foot orthotics.
5. We are not responsible for suitability of the app to your work.

AOMS TOT Fit Tutorials:

Words about better watching the tutorials:
All our efforts are made for better tutorials. However, some hard facts present challenges. These facts include the following. The AOMS TOT Fit app is designed for iPads and iPhones and there are many models of them. The app is designed for portrait mode only. Tutorial watchers may use a PC, or a Mac, or an iPad, or an iPhone, or an Android device.

Because user's computing device is unknown, we designed this page so that the videos on this page are automatically adjusted to its full width. We have tested the tutorials with Chrome on PC, with Safari on Mac, with Safari on a couple of iPads, on a couple of iPhones. Based on our findings, we have the following advice.

The videos automatically launch separately on iPhones. In this case, you can adjust the video size in the separate video control, such as run the app in full screen, and holding the device in portrait mode.

If you use a PC or a Mac, the videos do not launch separately. Instead, the videos are embedded in the page. This sometimes presents size fitness issues, like this, in which part of video is missing. The way to solve the problem is to adjust the width of the web browser, as shown here. In that case, the width of the browser has been narrowed. After proper adjustment, you can see the full length and width of the video, like this.

If you use an iPad, the videos run as embedded. Most vides run fine. Only when you run videos made for iPhone, you may find size problem. In that case, you can run the video in full screen mode.

If your WiFi bandwidth is not wide enough, you may see interrupted or choppy videos. In that case, you may consider downloading the videos to your local drive, so you can watch them smoothly.

With these advices in place, let’s move on with the tutorials.
